Christian Scott: Concord Jazz will release Christian Scott: Live At Newport on November 4th, the first-ever live album and DVD from critically acclaimed and Grammy-nominated 24-year-old trumpeter Christian Scott.

Recorded on August 9, 2008 at the JVC Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, RI, Live at Newport is the follow up to Christian’s sophomore release, Anthem, and his Grammy-nominated debut, Rewind That.

Jeff Lorber: Pioneering composer, producer and contemporary Jazz keyboard legend Jeff Lorber makes his Peak Records debut this week with his new album Heard That.

Highlighted by the first single, a swinging, bluesy-brass twist on Amy Winehouse’s Grammy winning “Rehab,” Heard That features a typically vibrant Lorber all-star guest list, including the legendary Rex Rideout, trumpet great Rick Braun, guitarist Paul Jackson Jr., saxman Gary Meek, bassist Alex Al, trumpeter Ron King, guitarist Darrell Crooks and Peak label mate and sax icon Gerald Albright.

Jimmy Demers: Pop / Contemporary vocalist Jimmy Demers makes his Concord Records debut this week with Dream A Little. The album features 13 classics, including covers of Diane Warren’s “Nothing Hurts Like Love” and Cass Elliott’s “Dream A Little Dream Of Me.”

With a string of credits to his name, including backing vocals on albums from Cher to Garth Brooks, Jimmy has found his voice in his unique adult contemporary and smooth jazz sound.
